I started my career in advertising in Vietnam. Then I worked in Japan, in a language and culture that weren't mine. Then Australia, where I settled and kept going in advertising. I built a life. I found my footing.
A move to Singapore was where things shifted. I joined a digital publishing startup at the start of the digital advertising era, and soon found myself leading an account service team. That's where I noticed something: I loved watching people grow, and I loved creating the environment for them to do their best work.
When the opportunity came to move to Vietnam, I stayed with the same company and took on a bigger regional role, looking after all six teams across Southeast Asia. Then, when the time was right, I came back to Australia and moved into marketing.
2 Decades, 4 Countries.
A career asking me to adapt, grow, & start over again.
The turning point
I didn't notice what was happening to me.
It wasn't dramatic. It was gradual. I kept moving, building and showing up for everyone until one day I realised I couldn't remember the last decision I made that was purely mine.
In 2023, things shifted. I moved into carer coaching and saw what happens when people who give everything to others finally receive support themselves. It changes everything. Alongside my training as a Professional Coach, it gave my work a name.
Before YouLead, I tried a few businesses in Vietnam, then a fashion ecommerce brand in Australia. They didn't fail because the ideas were bad. I simply didn't yet know how to build and run a sustainable business: pricing, systems, decisions and everything in between.
Those experiences shaped what came next: helping business owners lead with clarity and confidence. Because stronger leaders build stronger businesses, families and communities.
YouLead Coaching was born in 2024.
